# Introduction

{% hint style="danger" %}
**WARNING**

Aragon Govern is **beta software** which is **NOT MAINTAINED** anymore.

It's a really cool product though with innovative and nifty smart contracts around **Optimistic Governance**. So although you might run into an **error** 🐲 here and there, the documentation is definitely worth the read and the play!

And welcome to connect with us through [Discord](https://discord.gg/thyHMDt) or our technical [forum](https://support.aragon.org/c/dev-support/20)!

Welcome to Aragon Govern's documentation!

Aragon Govern is software for creating and governing organizations such as DeFi projects, open source projects, gaming guilds, cooperatives, nonprofits, clubs, companies, and any other type of organization you can imagine. It's Aragon's implementation of ERC-3000, the standard for binding off-chain voting.

Along with off-chain voting solutions like [Snapshot](https://snapshot.page/) it allows you to *govern* all parts of your project, even if not completely decentralized, in an easy manner, also allowing for flexibility and extensions when needed.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://legacy-docs.aragon.org/developers/products/aragon-govern/aragon-govern-1.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
